How MKE Express Spent Their Summer Vacation

It's that time of year again -- that time when registration opens up for the winter OCHL league.  When we last saw the Milwaukee Express team, they were hoisting the Novice League tournament trophy in the air.  As people get their credit cards ready to pay for another 16-20 weeks of slow hockey, let's check in with the team and see what they've been up to this summer.

#2 - Eric Kent -- Eric has been coaching his kids respective tee-ball/baseball teams.  Apparently, it's really difficult to explain the double switch and infield shift to 6 year olds.

#3 - Dave Wiebelhaus -- Three kids.  Say no more.

#6 - Will Tinsley -- Was one of the cameramen working the Olympics.  And probably the guy that made the diving pool water turn green.

#7 - Matty Hall -- Sampled every food at Wisconsin State Fair.  Matty may need a bigger sized jersey this year.

#10 - Chris Gontarski -- Was put in charge of the 'recruit Jimmy Vesey to the Bruins' task.  That didn't work out so well...but you know, there's no guarantee he's going to be any good at the NHL, so avoid the hub-bub already.

#11 - Scott Wunderlich -- Got drafted by Entech in the summer league, and then suffered a mysterious injury before the season started.  Coincidence?  You decide.

#12 - Christopher Miller -- started running.  Watch out, Ravanelli.  C-Money is coming for you.

#13 - Ryan Miller -- Baby #2 arrived in May.  And baby #2 was nice enough to wait until the day after the spring league was over before he arrived.  A week late, but one could argue he was right on time.

#17 - Bill Leifer -- Bill has spent most of the summer planning the team's next banner raising ceremony.  There will be interpretive dancing, laser beams, and punch and pie. (I hear more people will come if there is punch and pie)

#18 - Jim Sutliffe -- Has already purchased the booze for next year's championship.

#23 - Rodney Ravanelli -- Planning for two fall marathons.  I think the quote was, "Eat my dust, C-Money."

#31 - Todd Endres -- Spent the entire summer regretting the trip that made him miss the championship game.

#32 - Donna Sheperd -- Played in the summer league on the same team as Joe Wieland...so that she knows even better now how to get into his head this winter.

#33 - Liz Grosskreuz - This says it all.

#92 - Greg Pogorelc -- C-cuts.  Lots of C-cuts.

#94 - Guy Guglielmi -- Played for Concordia in the summer league.  Looked weird in a different shade of blue.
